Undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University College Cork
As part of the degree, Sarah carried out her fourth year research project in organic synthesis. The project title was the “Halogenation Reactions of 3(2H)-Furanones” where I investigated possible bromination and fluorination reactions of this organic family and the range of applications these reactions had.
