1st Network Meeting - DCU Ireland


The 1st Nework Meeting of ClickGene took place on July 21st (2015) at Dublin City University, Ireland and was hosted by Dr. Andrew Kellett and Dr. Niall Barron. The ITN meeting was attended by academic and industry partners (Dr. Antonio Manetto of baseclick GmbH is pictured) along with recruited ESRs. The meeting featured a series of introductions, scientific talks, and collaborative plans. The event was hosted at the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology (NICB) located on the DCU campus where both Dr Barron and Dr Kellett's research groups' are based.

COST Action Meeting Kildare, 23-25th July 2015


The majority of academic partners are management committee members of the COST Action CM1201: Biomimetic Radical Chemistry and are involved in the “Models of DNA Damage and Consequences” and the "Bio-Inspired Synthetic Strategies" working groups. The ClickGene consortium will participate in the COST Action Chemistry Inter Working Group Meeting in Kildare, Ireland from 23-25th July 2015.

Kick-off meeting in Munich

The Kick-off meeting took place in Munich on the 21th of January and aimed at gathering the different partners involved in the project.
The meeting has started with a talk from accelopment AG presenting the admistrative aspects of the project as well as an overview of the agenda planned over the 48 months duration of the project. Sciencitific talks followed then with speakers from both the academic partners (Dublin City University (IE), Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (DE),  Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry ASCR (CZ)) and the industry partners (baseclick GmbH (DE), (LipiNutraGen srl (IT)).  

ClickGene Project Start

The ClickGene Project started at 1st January 2015. The project wil be coordinated by Dr Andrew Kellet of the Dublin City University. 
The project will provide training for 14 PhD students in the next 4 years.
